I'd like to say "Thanks!" for this post. I've described and ideal employer from my point of view! I've never thought that all these "what languages do you know?", "please, say what is the type of the 6th parameter of the method XXX in library YYY for language ZZZ", "please solve this small task and we'll check you logic" could show who is this person you're speaking with... 

Your approach is really opposite. RSS list + blog posts (publications, open source projects) + toolset - this is a full set of thing we'd like to know about a person we're going to hire. These things fully describe an IT professional today.</description>
